GMLD, along with our Co-operative partner GML Utility Services LLC, conducts utility line clearance throughout the Town of Groveland. Our primary objective is to maintain clearance distances between trees and line conductors in utility right-of-ways. There are approximately 71 miles of overhead conductor within the town limits, and GMLD/GML has implemented a new trimming program where we will be trimming 1/3 of the town per year. This scheduled trimming is for roadside trimming of our distribution system - service drops going from house to pole across private property are the responsibility of the homeowner, though GMLD will trim them out if our schedule allows it.
