Please contact Kirk Blaisdell, Line Foreman kblaisdell@grovelandlight.com or Kevin Snow ksnow@grovelandlight.com for meter locations. GMLD may refuse to install service if the meter base is installed without prior approval.
For new underground installations: Please download and follow the GMLD URD Specs that can be found below. Any underground installations of Primary or Secondary conduit that runs from a Transformer to a Distribution Box, MUST be inspected by GMLD Staff before the excavation is closed.
**Generator Installations: Please see the Terms and Conditions, Section 2M**
Electrical Inspections are carried out by the Town of Groveland's Electrical Inspector. Please follow the link below to the Groveland Building Inspector's page for contact information.
New underground service risers are required by GMLD to be placed on pole stand-off brackets. Brackets must be Aluma-Form 6-CSO-12 or a GMLD approved alternate. Electricians must provide 4x brackets, 2x 10' PVC conduit (size determined by NEC), 4x conduit straps and bolts, and an appropriate sized conduit grounding clamp. GMLD strongly suggests the addition of a weatherhead sized for the PVC conduit. Please note: GMLD URD specs require riser installations to include 10' RGS conduit (size determined by NEC) leading to the pole horizontally, a RGS 90 degree sweep, and an additional 10' RGS for the vertical riser. Riser location on the pole is to be determined by GMLD Staff. Contact kblaisdell@grovelandlight for questions on underground installations.
